In my Fall Semester of 2015, I was enrolled in a course called Technical Design. In this course, we've learned the processes and responsibilities of a tech designer. Topics of class include: tech packs, specs, BOMs, POM charts, etc. We've been lucky enough to have a great teacher who provides us with real life scenarios as well as assignments/activities that will be useful for us in the future.
A huge component of this course was teamwork. My team consisted of myself as well as Miranda Dirks, Tayla Krepps, and Dustin Young. Together, we formed a production company called 'Knee'. Don't ask us where we thought of the name, but please feel free to ask about what we worked on! As a group, we developed four tech packs for four different kinds of garments. We constructed tech packs for a basic t-shirt, a men's button-down shirt, a pair of jeans, and a men's tailored jacket. Examples are given below as well as the links to the full tech packs. Enjoy!
